Michael S. was living with his Dad working numerous dead end jobs. He came to the Muhlenberg Job Corps in November of 2007 and his life changed dramatically. While at Muhlenberg Michael completed the Clinical Medical Assistant trade, obtained his GED and collected 30 college credit hours at the Madisonville Community College. While enrolled at Muhlenberg he worked part time at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. After his Job Corps graduation Michael obtained an apartment, continued his job with the hospital and began college course work toward his Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Thearpy.
Michael says, “People can put good things in front of you, but you have to make the effort to take advantage of them.” Michael took advantage of what Job Corps put in front of him and he is on his way to a life of success.
