Australian Basketball Comes to Muhlenberg Job Corps

Australian basketball came to the Muhlenberg Job Corps on December 4th. The Kilsyth Cobras, a traveling high school team from Melbourne, Australia defeated the Muhlenberg Bulldogs by a score of 54 to 42.  Kilsyth will be playing seven games in Kentucky before doing some site seeing throughout the U.S.  Their trip to the United States will last for twenty-two days and includes stops in New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. After the game the team members exchanged gifts and had a social hour to get better acquainted with each other.  Cody Perry, Muhlenberg Recreation Supervisor said, “The game, with Kilsyth, was one of the best recreational experiences he had been a part of since coming on staff at Muhlenberg.”  Jason Shafer who is an academic instructor at Muhlenberg and also serves as the girls basketball coach said, “It was a neat cultural experience for both teams to get acquainted after the game.”
