On Friday, February 1, 2013, three students from the Milwaukee Job Corps Center went to the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee to job shadow the Game Operations Staff for the Milwaukee Admirals (ADS), the city’s Professional AHL (American Hockey League) team. The staff members, known as the “Puck Patrol”, along with the students, handed out promotional items at the door, helped with set up and clean up of the arena, assisted with contests during the game, and threw t-shirts to the fans. Staff explained to the students how they started working for the team and the details of their job duties. Students Chelsea Marcoux, Dexter Alvarado, and Breanna Reinemann enjoyed this unique opportunity to learn about the behind the scenes details of professional athletic events.
