Twenty-eight Milwaukee Job Corps Center students participated in a community service event with Citizens and Organization Activities and Disasters. The students worked with the Milwaukee Police Department SWAT team to simulate a hostage situation during a SWAT Team training exercise. Some of the students acted as hostages, some were victims, and many were questioned by the police officers about what they had seen and heard. The students enjoyed the chance to work with the Police Department and assist them with their training. It was a unique opportunity for the students to be a part of the local law enforcement activities, and yet another chance to build relationships within the city of Milwaukee.
