Students and staff from the Milwaukee Job Corps Center participated in the 5K Jingle Bell Run/Walk to support the Arthritis Foundation. The run/walk was held at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Participants dressed up with Holiday accessories, including jingle bells on their shoes. The students and staff were sponsored by the center’s Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles Committee which is committed to exposing students and staff to a wide array of ways to incorporate health and activity into their lives. The committee also promotes the idea of wellness to employability. The students enjoyed braving the frigid temps on their 3.1 mile trek through the zoo. Two students, Diego Gasca and Ramon Peters, completed the event with very impressive times both under 24 minutes.
