Former Job Corps Student encourages Student Leaders at Milwaukee Job Corps

The Milwaukee Job Corps Center honored the student leaders at the August Leadership Banquet. The guest speaker at the banquet was former Job Corps student, Aldred Walters, who attended Blackwell Job Corps Center in northern Wisconsin at the age of 16 and completed both his GED and a trade in Building Maintenance. Mr. Walters was able to encourage the students about the success they can have after they complete their program at Job Corps. Also at the banquet, the center’s first Platinum gold card student was recognized. Student Ning Zar came to the Milwaukee Job Corps Center on February 15, 2011. He has completed a TAR in the Medical Office Support trade, and is currently working on another one. Ning is in the process of completing the GED program, and he will be running for an SGA leadership position in the next election cycle.
