The “Adopt a Shoreline Project” is a collaborative partnership between Miami Job Corps  and the City of Hallandale Beach (CHB).  The City is a pillar in the community for its beach clean-up initiatives.  Miami Job Corps  “Green Team” student volunteers, lead by Independent Living Supervisor Dennis Caffrey, participate in these beach clean-ups,  adopting and beautifying  a segment of shoreline periodically throughout  a span of 4 years.  The City of Hallandale Beach recently commemorated these efforts by erecting a sign identifying that the beach has been beautified by Miami Job Corps.  The most recent clean-up project occurred on October 1,2011.
