NH Job Corps Students Marvel at Employment Resources Available During NH Employment Security Fieldtrip

For the last couple of weeks the Career Preparation Period (CPP) classes have visited Manchester NH’s America Job Center, otherwise known as New Hampshire Employment Security (NHES) or NH Works. The purpose of the visits were to educate the students to the resources available after they leave Job Corps. Some of the resources are career center services such as career exploration, resume writing and job search. Some others were Community Action Programs (CAP), education and training, and referrals for fuel assistance and healthcare. Leslie Dunbar presented the material to and fielded questions from the students. The students attending the first week (13 January 2016) were Emily Spain and Osvaldo Rodriguez, and the second week (20 January 2016) were Asa Anderson, Emily Bacon, Jerel Baker, Brandon Desaulniers, Melissa Garabedian, Jalen Murchicon, Hannah Perry, Travis Plourde, Alejandro Ramirez-Ciprian, Dominic Rodriguez, Brendan St Claire, Dickie Tyler, Keoji Robinson, Davon Veiga-Donovan, and William Weber. The students were accompanied by Mr. Place. The overall feeling was one amazement of all the resources available and appreciation for those people and organizations that provide them.
