Happy Chinese New Year! New Hampshire Job Corps celebrated Chinese New Year on Thursday, February 18th! Staff and students welcomed guest Desiree Zae-wong to our center to showcase exactly what Chinese New Year is all about. Skits and a choreographed dance were performed by students. The skits were dramatizations of the do’s and don’t of Chinese New Year. For example, floors are not to be swept, you are cautioned not to break any dishes, and encouraged to wear red and visit family for good luck. To end the night students participated in painting calligraphy of their names.
