New Hampshire Job Corps Business & Community Director Speaks at Leadership Program

Cassie Gudek, Business & Community Liaison Director spoke today at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s leadership program. The leadership program features 40-50 ‘students’; business professionals in the community, who meet for a full day, each month from September to June, on varying topics to develop leadership skills, better know and serve their community, and make powerful networking connections.

November’s leadership class focused on Economic Development. Cassie spoke alongside community leaders such as Dick Anagnost a major proponent and driving force in developing the NH Job Corps Center, Dianne Mercier, NH President of Peoples United Bank, Will Craig, Director of Economic Development for the City of Manchester, and other community leaders to discuss issues and opportunities for economic development in our state and region.

Cassie spoke to the positive impact the New Hampshire Job Corps Center has on workforce development, citing the four phases of the program (Outreach & Admissions, Career Preparation Period, Career Development Period, and Career Transition Period) and how each of these phases work together to promote strong program graduates with training in trades, leadership skills, and confidence to successfully fill New Hampshire’s most in-demand jobs.
