Ground Hog Job Shadow Day – Manchester Area Employers Giving Job Corps Students Real World Experience

New Hampshire Job Corps students participated in their very first group Job Shadow Day, on none other than, Ground Hog Day. Get it?

Students selected for the Job Shadowing experience were thrilled to be shadowing in their chosen trade field, with some incredible employers.

Four culinary students were able to shadow the award winning restaurant, Cotton, right here in Manchester. Four electrical students had some exciting hands on experience installing batteries and tuning engines on racing cars part of the US Legends Cars International, helping to prepare the cars for racing season.

900 Degrees restaurant in Epping hosted two hospitality students and two culinary students. While culinary student were busy in the kitchen learning what it takes to create the flavorful gourmet pizzas 900 degrees is famous for, the hospitality students were shadowing the day-time manager, seeing in-context what a career in hospitality and restaurant management could look like for them.
