No stranger to Job Corps in Los Angeles, LeadersUp made sure to invite MTC L.A Job Corps students to participate in their annual job fair expo. One of the great outcomes of this partnership is increasing the access of resources for students to be better prepared for job placement. Taking students to participate in the expo allowed them to engage in multiple activities to really aid them in job search preparation.  Activities included learning how to tie a neck tie, mock interviews, resume rebuilding, blazer fitting, getting a free hair cut, and applying to jobs in person with immediate interviews on site. Our students were happy to receive some free items and had a better outlook on what they needed to do to obtain a job.  At Job Corps, we know the importance of providing the training our students need but we know it’s even better to expose them to the other opportunities that are available to them when they make the right choices.
