Job Corps Success Story “Frank Guerrero”

I was born on Mother’s Day May 1959 and it became a curse to me. My biological parents gave me away to the foster care system and went their separate ways only to have other children. I grew up in the dark streets and one day walked into an unemployment office and saw a Job Corps flyer. I enrolled and went to the Los Angeles downtown Job Corps facility from 1977 to 1979. I got into the Surveyor Program and really never have left Los Angeles. Those tall buildings in Downtown L.A. are part of my projects. Today I am Chief of Party Surveyor building and underground Subway from LAX to Crenshaw and Exposition Blvd. by USC campus. It is an 8 and a half mile project that will go on for 5 years. I have been a Los Angeles Union Surveyor from day one leaving Job Corps. I am currently an employee.  But I am also an employer as owner of www.sragroup.net.  My Cinderella Story is confirmed by giving back to the communities around L.A. I am also the pastor and CEO of Passion for Christ Ministries and would honor the opportunity to passionately speak about how Job Corps was a family to me I could write a book about my journey, but writing it does no justice to making one someone walk as a successful Job Corps member like meeting successful graduates.

Thank You Job Corps family for my life as a member.

Thank You,

Frank Guerrero
