On August 9, 2010 visitors Amanda Peterson, Assoc. Dean of Students and Greg Miller, Exec. VP, Dean of New Programs affiliated with Husson University introduced an advanced training opportunity to the construction trades by giving an overview of The Boat School located in Eastport, Maine. Trades of Wood Construction, Marine Systems, Composite & Fiberglass Construction, Marine Finishes & Mechanics, Travelift Operations and ACMA Composite Technician training are offered. A finished boat known as a “Dory” was recently built at the Boat School was brought to show the students the skill and beauty of the trade.
