Loring Job Corps Student Hired locally by Tri-Community Landfill after WBL internship.

Trinity Harvey was able to participate in a Work Based Learning internship at Tri-Community Landfill in Fort Fairfield, Maine and was successfully hired after her internship!  This position involved primary responsibility for driving recycling trucks to pick up recyclables; both at so-called “bottle bill” customers(Pepsi & Aroostook Beverage), and from municipal recycling drop-off stations. Trinity completed the Heavy Truck Driving Tractor (CDL) training at Loring Job Corps Center in January and obtained other certifications in customer service, leadership training and Imagine 21(positive affirmation training). It was noted only after a few days into Trinity’s internship the manager of Tri-Community Landfill, Mark Draper stated she was confident and eager to do her best from day one. Her positive attitude and ambition has landed her a position as a Truck Driver at this facility which started in February.
