Shawn Campbell a CISCO Academy student at Loring Job Corps Center had the opportunity for an internship at WAGM News Channel 8. He had the opportunity to do an interview for LJCC and then he was shown how to edit his own footage. With the assistance of Laura Thomas, News Director of WAGM News, he shadowed the newsroom and was shown how the news room was produced and really work behind the scenes of a broadcast. Other area of interest were the IT department which were covered during his job shadow. Mr. Campbell stated, “It gave me a better understanding of the operations that take place in the News and how opportunities for CISCO Academy training could be applied to jobs in this field.
