A group of 5 students from Home Builders Institute in the Carpentry vocation were all selected and recommended by their instructor, Mark Brewer, who volunteered their skills and labor to the Caribou Historical Center. Mr. Joe Bouchard requested assistance with beautifying the landscape and spring cleanup in the garden areas surrounding the facility. The 5 gentleman showed up at 9 a.m. ready to work, and within minutes of their arrival they began raking leaves and removing brush from all around the area. The team finished the job hours ahead of schedule, so Mr. Bouchard offered to bring the students on a full tour of the Historical Center and Museum, including a rebuilt circa 1872 one-room school house and a scenic nature walk. “They did a very good job,” praised Mr. Bouchard. “We really appreciate all the help!”
