Loring Job Corps Defenders post colors for Northern Maine Veterans Ceremony

LJCC Honor Guard Defenders unit participated in the Maine’s Veterans Ceremony November 11, 2011 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery located in Caribou, Maine by posting colors. The event was cold and windy but our LJCC Color Guard students did not show any signs of the brisk weather to honor and remember veterans who have or are serving the U.S. Military on Veteran’s Day. With many citizens in attendance including Charles E. Summers, Jr., Maine Secretary of State, local Senator Representatives Sharon Campbell from our Honorary Senator Olympia Snow and Senator Representative Philip Bosse from Senator Susan Collins office and Representative Barbara Hayslett from Congressman Michael Michaud office all spoke and read letters and commencements from our U.S. Congressional Leaders in behalf of our Maine Veterans in remembrance an in their honor. The LJCC Defenders were aired on WAGM Channel 8 evening News for this occasion.
