Loring Job Corps Center Students join Community Service for Snow Fun Days in Caribou, Maine

February 26, 2012 – On a wintery Sunday morning Students of Loring Job Corps Center had the opportunity to assist Cary Medical Center,  Caribou Chambers of Commerce and Caribou Lions Club for a full day of fun and snow competitions. Cary Medical Center hosted ski races named “February Frolics” at two locations starting at the Caribou High School and then another at the Caribou Country Club. At the same time the Caribou Chamber offered self made cardboard sledding competitions for all ages. LJCC students participated in time keeping of the races, registrations and helped with the food service as well. It was also noted our students participated in the all ages home made sledding event and won a 1st place trophy for the event. Community service can be fun and rewarding!
