Casimiro Fernandes from Rhode Island and student at the Loring Job Corps Center has had multitude of success from his hard work and dedication towards his career path. Casimiro completed his Home Builders Institute(HBI) Electrical vocation in August of 2009 an then enrolled in the ACT program for advanced training at our partnership college, Northern Maine Community College where this past May he earned his Associate degree in Electrical Construction. On June 30th Casimiro took and passed the State of Maine’s Journeyman’s Electrical Exam, his many hours of studying paid off. Continuing his endeavors, Casimiro applied and was accepted at the University of Maine at Orono to study for his degree in Electrical Engineering this fall. At an all student and staff communication meeting held on July 19th he was recognized by his instructor, HBI electrical instructor, Otis May for his accomplishments and awarded an embroidered shirt with the title of “Licensed Electrician” and his name. Mr. Casimiro Fernandes is a great role model for all our students to respect and realize every one’s goals are attainable if you work hard and are dedicated to yourself.
