Let’s Move 1st annual kick-off with support of Loring Job Corps students and community held in Caribou, Maine

The First Annual Let’s Move Kick-Off for the City of Caribou took place at the Caribou Wellness/Recreation Center.  Many booths and displays from Pines, Healthy You, Caribou Recreation, Caribou Shop and Save, Caribou Chamber/Commerce, Healthy Aroostook and other healthy choice options for our community residents and students that attended. The Loring Job Corps Center C.N.A. class attended to assist with blood pressure; showed attendees how to use the Wii for exercise; and gave raffle drawn prizes for anyone that walked the upstairs track during the event.  A $1000 cash prize will be drawn for the Let’s Move Challenge to improve individual health at the end of April 2012. It was a great beginning for the Let’s Move Challenge sponsored by Cary Medical Center, Healthy You, Caribou Parks & Recreation Department, Loring Job Corps Center and Astra Zeneca Health Care Foundation.
