• The Loring Electrical class recently completed a massive go green project that involves the students to recycle residential wire after stripping the plastic coating off the wire. The wire is worth 3 times greater stripped and ready for turn in. To do so requires many hours of work and dedication. The dedication paid off in their recent project, they stripped $300 worth of wire in support of green day and global youth week. The students then decided with the support of the Loring student government to give the money earned to worthy charities including the Catholic charities food bank and the MS society. Pictured in the photo are the residential electrical students along with electrical student Tyhem Jones who also serves as a leader in the Student Government shown holding the $200 check for one of the charity organizations.
• Members of the Loring Honor Guard defenders recently conducted a major clean up of the highway and entrance to the Aroostook U.S. National Wildlife refuge. The students completed the annual project in support of global youth week and supported the event by providing many hours of support to ensure the wildlife refuge is clean and ready for people to enjoy.
