American Red Cross Blood Drive held at Loring Job Corps Center

May 9, 2012
The American Red Cross blood drive took place on center with the organization efforts of Julie Blackstone, Administration Purchasing Agent. Ms. Blackstone has been the coordinator of the blood drives for over 9 years for LJCC hosting with the Bangor division American Red Cross volunteers. LJCC has 3 blood drives each year and the goal of each of our blood drive is 90 pints.  Each pint collected saves 3 lives! Over 130 students participated in this event and residents of the Limestone Community also attend as walk-ins. The C.N.A. students take part in this opportunity to learn valuable life experiences and obtain WBL credit as well. Pictured just below is Julie Blackstone along with the C.N.A. students and the Bangor American Red Cross Division.
