Students Pitch In To Educate Youth and their Parents

Forty Long Beach Job Corps students and staff  members went to California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California  to assist in preparing for the university’s education fair, one of the largest educational events in California. The students took part in this activity for Make a Difference Day and in doing so, made a difference in the lives of other youth and their parents.

The students worked quickly to collate and stuff event bags with educational materials in preparation for the next day’s event, a fair to help Spanish- speaking parents navigate various educational activities to guide their children to academic success.

The students worked enthusiastically as they assembled the bags in the university’s huge gymnasium, and the task was completed in record time.
