Long Beach Job Corps Students recently volunteered at the Shoestring City Ranch in Carson, California. The students, along with 2 staff members from the Wellness Department,  had a wonderful time feeding and grooming the horses there. 

Shoestring City Ranch is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers. They have a Youth Horse Program and also teach youth how to care for chickens and goats.  The mission of the ranch is to introduce youth to sustainable living while fostering teamwork, respect, and leadership skills. Long Beach Job Corps students look forward to visiting the ranch again soon.
