Long Beach Job Corps Students and American Red Cross Help Save Lives

On Thursday, August 25, 2011, the Long Beach Job Corps Student Government Association held a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross. Ms. Cheryl Berlow, Senior Account Manager from the American Red Cross/Southern California Region Blood Services arrived early to help the health workers and students set up the sign in table and made sure things went well.

Over 70 individuals, including students and staff, signed up to give blood.  The number exceeds the last blood drive and the students met their goal. Afterward, many students proudly wore stickers on their shirts that read “I Make a Difference.” And they did!
