Dr. Robert Garcia,1st District City Councilmember for the City of Long Beach, California, has hired recent Long Beach Job Corps graduate Isaac Romero to be an intern in his office. Isaac, a great ambassador for Long Beach Job Corps Center, is quickly becoming a junior ambassador of sorts for the city. He can be seen at community activities and city wide events, having recently attended an event celebrating  the grand opening of a park just one block from the center.

According to his employer, “There’s no doubt that Isaac’s experience with Job Corps has been an essential factor in his growth and success. That growth has translated into impressive service in our office, benefiting the City and its residents, as well as Isaac.”

Isaac, who continues to volunteer in the community,  is also attending Long Beach City College.
