Career Preparation Period (CPP) students Tiffany Arce, Jacob Bottcher, and Alexander Watkins Jr. recently visited the Arkansas Workforce along with their CPP Instructor. The students spoke with Christopher Bell, a representative from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock about their TRIO Pre-College Outreach Program. The TRIO Program assists youths, adults, and veterans in targeted areas to enroll and complete an educational program beyond high school.
Mr. Bell visited the Center on March 30. He took part in an interactive class demonstration with Mr. Tim Golman, Network Cabling instructor, and Chris Moreland, Facilities Maintenance Instructor, displayed current projects taking place in hard trades, as well as visited with the Chef and the Culinary Arts students. Mr. Bell discussed ways that he can incorporate services from TRIO for students once they complete the program. He will begin visiting the center on a monthly basis starting in April to reach the students that are considering furthering their education once they graduate from Job Corps.
