David Valtierra left Monday, September 14, 2015 to begin his new journey. He will be attending the Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, New Jersey to join the A+/Microsoft Server Professional Advanced Training Program. He is the first student in several years to be accepted from Little Rock and we are proud to let him represent the center.
David has been a model student at the Little Rock Job Corps Center. He joined the Little Rock Job Corps Center in June 2014. He knew the moment he stepped on the center that he wanted to go to advanced training and specifically which programs he was interested in attending. He enrolled in the Office Administration trade and quickly began to stand out as a leader. He completed the trade with certifications in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. He applied to the Edison program and was told it would be another six months before they were able to accept him. Not to be discouraged, David elected to complete a second trade while waiting, Network Cable Installation. He completed NCI with certifications in NCCER Core Curriculum and OSHA10. While on dorm, David held multiple leadership positions and left while still holding the roll of Maple Dorm President. He was also instrumental in Y2Y events by serving as a student ambassador before he left.
We are proud of the work David has accomplished and look forward to hearing of his accomplishments at Edison.
