The Little Rock Job Corps, with the assistance of WBL Advisor John Bednara and Facilities Maintenance Instructor Chris Moreland, recently obtained a Work Based Learning (WBL) partnership with Middlebrooks Electric Service Company on January 26th. The company provides a wide range of electrical, heating and air, network, generator, and appliance services to residential and commercial customers. One of LRJC’s exceptional Facilities Maintenance trade students, Leonard Stevenson, Jr. was the first student chosen to participate in the WBL program with Middlebrooks Electric Service Company to obtain hands-on off-center career technical training beginning February 8th. Site Supervisor David Deutscher described Leonard as “hardworking, personable, inquisitive, exhibits great communication skills, and great with customer service.” Leonard’s future looks bright as he progresses through the program.
