TEAP Counselor, Yulonda Warrior, and seven students attended a Domestic Violence Symposium on Oct. 13 at Shorter College in Little Rock. Five of the students had been selected to attend The Center for Healing Hearts & Spirits’ forum on “Speaking Up”: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault.
The topics discussed at the forum were: Rights & Responsibilities, Signs of Abuse, Impact of Abuse, Broken Heat, Broken Bones: The Mental Health Perspective, and a Survivor’s Perspective. Tonya Hooks of the Attorney General’s Office delivered the closing message and explained in detail the services that are available to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault
