Little Rock Job Corps Center, Filling “Empty Bowls!”

The Little Rock Job Corps Center was asked to participate in the local Food Bank’s (Community Partner) largest fundraiser. The Security Trade and their instructor, directed traffic and provided crowd control and security. In addition, the Culinary Trade and their instructor, got the honor of working with the Chefs from Arkansas Governor’s Mansion…

In response to Little Rock’s Effort the event coordinator E-Mailed the following:

Hello Tommy, Staff and Students at Job Corps,

“I wanted to send a special thank-you for the fabulous help from both staff and students  during Empty Bowls.  I think the Governor’s chefs wound up using the kitchen at the mansion, but you were still there with the opportunity for them to use Job Corps.  Everyone at Job Corps was so kind and accommodating and we were delighted that some could share in the fun.  This was the most successful Empty Bowls to date.  We were able to net over $90,000.  Job Corps played a big part in the success of Empty Bowls and were a big part of helping to feed hungry children and families, right here in our own communities.

Thanking you again for your help and support to our Empty Bowls event.  Hope you can come again next year!”

Best Regards,
