This month’s awards assembly celebrated Black History. During the assembly on February 10th, students were treated to a biography about Josephine Baker by Marya Anderson. Britney Burnett took it once step further with her biography about Tina Turner by dressing in full character as Ms. Turner. The LRJCC’s Acapella Choir featuring Zoe McKenzie, Joseph Yarbrough, and Thomas Toney also sang a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. Awards were presented for January student achievements.
