Little Rock Job Corps students assisting with Literacy Walk

Seventeen students and four staff from Little Rock Job Corps participated in the 2nd annual 5k walk sponsored by the Pulaski County Learning Center held at the Big Dam Bridge. The “Footsteps for Life” a family oriented walk designed to help raise money to be ued over the next 12 months for a range of literacy and after school programming. Since the walk was held on September 11th, time was taken to memorialize the Trade Center and Pentagon tragedies that took place in 2001 by holding a moment of silence and releasing balloons. Students and staff assisted with the event by distributing water to participants, painting faces of children, passing out food and finally participating in the walk itself.
