Mr. Willie Hicks, Director of Admissions with Arkansas Baptist College, spoke to Job Corps students about the importance of furthering their education and what Arkansas Baptist College could offer them on Feb 18. Mr. Hicks gave students a brief history of his own background in which many can relate to. He asked students to invest in themselves by giving examples of what a college degree can do for their lives. After speaking to students, Mr. Hicks provided a video depicting life on the campus of the Arkansas Baptist College. Arkansas Baptist College is a historically black four-year liberal arts college, that offers affordable tuition, smaller class sizes, the opportunity to experience residential life on campus, the option of obtaining an Associate’s and or Bachelor’s Degree of a variety of liberal art studies. Mr. Hicks stated that their students are not just academically rounded once they graduate but also spiritually, socially, culturally, and personally.
