Every third Saturday of the month, Laredo Main Street hosts El Centro De Laredo Farmers Market in Jarvis Plaza. Each month LJCC students under the supervision of Mr. Nemecio Duenes, Culinary Arts Instructor, provide the Laredo community with a variety of delicious pastries and baked goods. On Saturday, January 15, 2011, Mr. Duenes gave the Market clientele a presentation on how to make Peanut Butter brittle.   The Laredo Job Corps Center has been an active partner with Laredo Main Street in its efforts to  create something unique for the City of Laredo.
