On August 15, 2011, Center Director Mike Fernandez, Culinary Arts Instructor Nemecio Duenes and students from the Culinary Arts Program get recognized during the City of Laredo City Council Meeting. Together with representatives from Laredo Independent School District and United Independent School District, the Laredo Job Corps Nutrition Program accepted a certificate of recognition for their continue support to the Mayor’s Challenge through the Summer Feeding Program.
