On November 7, 2015, Kittrell Job Corps Center Business Community Liaison Director and five students volunteered to assist Wisdom For Life with its Great Sweet Harvest at the First Fruits Farm. They were among the 1, 300 volunteers who braved the rainy weather. The event was a great success, harvesting 23,000 pounds of sweet potatoes. First Fruits Farms planted 11 acres of sweet potatoes with the help of Wester Farms and JB Rose and Sons. First Fruits Farms partnered with the Society of St. Andrew, a network of gleaners. The sweet potato Harvest was from 9AM-12PM. Pictured are former NFL Football All Star Jason Brown and Kittrell Job Corps Center students.
