On August 10, 2016 Kittrell Job Corps Center held its Monthly Student Awards Celebration. It was held in the gymnasium. During the event center staff recognized students for their achievements and positive performance. The following awards presented were: Center Director Choice, Deputy Center Director, BCL Community Service, CPP Stick and Stay, Non- Residential, Career Technical Training Student & Trade of the Month, Academics Student & Class of the Month, Grad 90, Non-Residential, Safety & Security, SGA, Success Team, Dorm Room of the Month, Dorm of the Month, Center Standard Incentive, and the Mama Doo Hinton Award.
