Kittrell Job Corps Center Host Grad 90 Celebration

On Friday, December, 11, 2015, 76 Grad-90 students were celebrated with a luncheon in their honor. Career Transition Readiness Coordinator Diane Fisher welcomed the group. Culinary Arts Students and Instructor Chef Fabretti prepared a delicious lunch of Baked Spaghetti, rice, green beans and garlic bread sticks. Ms. Fisher talked to the group about the importance of job searching while at home over the winter break. Many will be graduating in the new year and need to utilize the time at home wisely and job search. Norman Turner, Deputy Center Director provided closing remarks. He stressed to the students the importance of begin Grad-90 students. Mr. Turner set clear expectations for the students who have achieved Grad-90 status. “Now is the time to act, dress and think professional.”  You are about to take on “grown” responsibilities so you need to be “grown.” The expectation is that you go to advanced training, get a job, go to college or enlist in the military. We are providing everything you need to succeed, the rest is up to you.
