Kittrell Job Corps Fluor Job Corps 2011 Scholarship Recipient

Kittrell Job Corps Center 23 year-old Fluor Job Corps Scholarship recipient, Adam Blanton enrolled at Kittrell Job Corps Center in January of 2010. He’d already earned his high school diploma and completed his trade in Health Occupations by April, 2010. During his time here, the native Fayetteville NC resident was elected to the Student Government Association and served as a dorm leader. He twice made the Dean’s List and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Adam is currently attending Vance Granville Community College in the Business Administration Program and holds a GPA of 3.78. He’ll graduate in May 2012 and will immediately enroll at Fayetteville State University to pursue his Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management. While there, he hopes to obtain an entry-level position at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Upon completing his bachelor’s degree, he plans to continue his career at the hospital to complete his Masters Degree in Healthcare Management. The Fluor Foundation and DEL-JEN are pleased to announce 2011’s Fluor Foundation Job Corps Scholarship Program recipients. Six Job Corps students were each awarded $5,000 in renewable scholar-ships.
