Army Recruiters Sgt. David Castro and Sgt. Joshua Parker along with the SPS cadets hosted an amazing day that entailed an informative presentation of military enlistment and the great benefits of a military career. Staff and students together enjoyed an afternoon of a little PT exercise competitive fun. WBL Joan Robinson , FM Instructor Richard Alston and Reading Instructor Terrial Tomlin showed the students how easy it was to lift 150-200 lbs. deadweight without a drop of sweat. Security staff with SPS went a few rounds in a relay race and let’s just say both teams were winners that day. Several students had one on one conversations with the recruiters and signed Interested Cards which are now in follow up status with recruiters. When students were asked how much did they enjoy the event, they stated that the best part was watching staff have fun in competing with them.
Bravo to both the class of SPS and U.S Army for an outstanding day of working together to build future careers for our youth.
