Kittrell Job Corps Center students and staff assisted the City of Henderson with its Citywide Recycling Day event held at the Henderson Operation Center on April 23, 2016. The event was sponsored by the Vance County Appearance Commissioner. Kittrell students unloaded recyclable items from vehicles and placed them in recycle bins. Jason Brown, former NFL football player, sponsored a hotdog luncheon for the Henderson-Vance Spring Litter Sweep and the Citywide Recycling Day participants. During the luncheon the center was awarded $80 for the most participants.
