January 14, 2012, Congressman G.K. Butterfield Director of Constituent, Dollie Burwell volunteered and conducted a Martin Luther King Service Day Project working alongside Kittrell Job Corps students and repersentatives from community youth agencies and area churches. Volunteers painted and remodeled two mobile homes for Hurricane Katina victims. This day of services brought together millions nationwide to honor the legacey of Dr. King. This community service project was sponsored by Rebuilding Hope Inc. of Henderson North Carolina.
