On January 18, 2016, BCL , Joan Robinson attended a Martin Luther King Jr. Program held at the First Baptist Church in Granville County. The Honorable US Representative GK Butterfield and US Representative Gwen Moore served as the guest speakers.  In attendance were local, state and government officials including US Representatives and US Senators District Staff, Mayors, Sheriffs, NC District Attorney, City Council members, County Commissioners, Judges, Board of Education members  and other community leaders.
