Keystone Job Corps Students Runners Up at Iron Chef Competition

A four person team from the Keystone Job Corps Center placed second overall in a  recent culinary arts competition held at Cape May Community College in Atlantic City, NJ.  The students placed in eight categories; winning three first place, three second place and two third place awards.  They were also honored with the “Best Showpiece and the People’s Choice Award” for their sea scape centerpiece created from different melons, fruits and vegetables.

The team members recounted their experience by stating they were “very excited to compete against as well as meet students from eighteen other Job Corps Centers on the east coast.  It was a wonderful experience with intense competition.”  All four students look forward to continuing their education and careers in the culinary field.
