Keystone Job Corps Center received first place for the third consecutive year in the 7th annual “Career Technical Skills Training Competition” sponsored by the Philadelphia Region of Job Corps.
Students were recognized for their craftsmanship on construction projects both on and off center. Entries were judged on how the projects enhanced the community and center, the quality of the workmanship, including design and the variety of skills used on the projects.
Job Corps established the competition to give students the opportunity to showcase their skills and help make a difference in their local communities. The projects undertaken reflect many of Job Corps goals for students, such as: learning and applying their skills, developing a stronger work ethic and personal growth of the individual.
