During the first two weeks of July, students were invited to create drawings that would become a new logo for the Kickers, a group of 11 students who work with TEAP Specialist Patricia Alberty as they try to quit smoking cigarettes.
The drawings were displayed in Ms. Alberty’s classroom for a week, and the students voted on their favorites. When the results were tallied, the winners were students Jenna Cawthon and Trevion Matthews. The logos then were used to make a new T-shirt for the members of the Kickers group.
The students that successfully go 30 days of without smoking will be presented with one of the shirts. Ms. Alberty announced
the winners recently, and Jenna and Trevion were the first recipients of the new shirts.
