Joliet Job Corps was recently mentioned in a local newspaper Letter to the Editor thanking the Center for participating in the Jan. 16 Martin Luther King Day On, Not Off.
Twenty-four students worked with several other agencies making valentines for veterans, cleaning windows at a local YMCA and moving furniture at the Spanish Community Center. All together, more than 200 people volunteered that day, including many public officials.
Two Joliet Job Corps students were also on Page 1 of that same newspaper, The Herald News, on Jan. 17.
