Training began Tuesday for the Student Government Association elections.
Led by Peer Leadership Coordinator Thanesha Sorrells, the students learned about the expectations of leadership and the process of applying for positions. They also received poster board to use to make campaign signs. Each sign will include the student’s name, the position the student is seeking, a slogan, and a photograph of the student.
The students were eager to campaign, and they began researching famous quotes and different campaign styles as part of the project. Candidates are required to have a 3.5 or higher CSSR and must
complete the Advanced Leadership class. They cannot have any negative incident reports in the past 30 days and they must be in good standing on Center.
